When you join Beta Sigma Phi, you become part of a life long sisterhood. Our sisters share a commitment to the pursuit of a life worth living, the growth and enrichment of continued learning and the support and love of friendship. Beta Sigma Phis have a strong desire to support one another and their communities, while becoming the best versions of themselves through educational and cultural enrichment.

Beta Sigma Phi is a sorority founded in 1931 for women unable to attend college due to the economic climate of the time. We are a non-collegiate, non-sectarian and non-political organization. The organization offers women of all backgrounds, ages 18 and up the opportunity for friendship development, cultural enrichment and community outreach. We have a rich history that has evolved over time and affected not only our members but the cultural and social structure of society. An International organization, Beta Sigma Phi chapters are located throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and other countries.

We are a friendship organization and that is our main purpose, to help remind woman to take time for themselves and their friends. Women usually place themselves last on their list of things to do and tend not to have any real friends to call upon when the need arises. When you are a member, you literally have thousands of instant friends where ever you travel; not to mention your chapter sisters will hold a very special place in your heart and family.

Even though we are a friendship organization our members enjoy participating in many service projects and supporting various philanthropic endeavors. In the past, they have assisted in the restoration of the Statue of Liberty, have donated thousands of dollars to Dana Farber Cancer Research and many other research funds and charities.
